I’ve had a varied career as a journalist, producer, marketeer, and later as a digital leader at the BBC, where I managed teams and worked closely with senior stakeholders. Recently, I graduated with a business management degree from the University of Roehampton. As a husband and father of two amazing teenage daughters living in semi-rural Surrey, I’ve embraced executive coaching techniques in my management style to help colleagues improve their performance and realize their potential. Additionally, I offer mentoring services and am now exploring opportunities in digital consultancy to further enhance my impact.
This process involves a series of conversational sessions aimed at fostering improvement or change, centered on the individual in a non-judgmental environment that may not be achievable in typical work or personal situations. Through executive coaching, the coach employs a blend of questioning, listening, observation, and feedback to generate insights and development opportunities, often enhanced by digital consultancy and mentoring services.
I use a non-directive style of executive coaching, where I collaborate with clients, listening to their challenges and working towards a desirable outcome or to achieve an objective. It’s a partnership of equals where I do the majority of listening, but we work together on seeking a resolution. Through my mentoring services, I utilize the GROW model of coaching, which helps to identify clear objectives and explore options for resolution, enhancing the overall effectiveness of my digital consultancy.
There are three areas where I can help on a one-to-one basis:
I offer 3-hour workshops for up to 10 people, perfect for any team looking to optimize their performance through digital consultancy. Before the workshop, each team member will complete a questionnaire using the C-Me behaviour profiling tool.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of their individual strengths, insights on how to maximize each other's potential, and techniques for developing their communication styles.
Additionally, I can provide further workshops that focus on performance improvement, leadership development, and change management.
